Scratch maps are an excellent way for the traveller to have a visual picture of the vast amount of the world they have had the chance to visit. It also allows them to see what countries you have not yet visited.

The scratch map works by having the world map printed onto a large poster, the countries are all covered with a gold or silver foil layer. Once the country has been visited and explored you simple get a coin and scratch off the foil revealing a colourful country beneath, the more colourful, the more countries have been visited.
